At 5:50 p.m. EDT, Roth shared on X, ‘A couple of games will not begin on time: PHI and NYY. Of these, I believe PHI will clear up faster and is less likely to face a postponement.’ The weather forecast for the Bronx indicates a high likelihood of thunderstorms coinciding with the original first pitch. Weather.com reports a 93% chance of thunderstorms at 7 p.m. EDT, decreasing to 61% by 8 p.m. The risk is expected to diminish significantly by 9 p.m., with only a 15% chance of thunderstorms predicted, alongside mostly cloudy skies.
