In the 10m air rifle mixed team final at the Asian Games held in Nagoya, the Indian duo of Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Mane secured a fourth-place finish. This result came after a promising performance in the qualification round, where they had shown strong potential. Despite their earlier success, they were unable to maintain the momentum in the final competition on Tuesday.
Final Results from Shooting Competition
In the final of the shooting event, the Indian duo scored 376.3, finishing last and thus being eliminated. South Korea’s Ban Hyojin and Park Hajun secured the silver medal with a score of 502.9, while Japan’s Naoki Hanakawa and Misakia Nobata took home the bronze with 439.7. Notably, Vietnam was disqualified after placing fourth in the qualification round.
Valaviran struggled to maintain the consistency she exhibited in the individual and women’s team events, where she earned silver medals. The Chinese pair of Zifei and Lihao entered the final with a remarkable qualification world record total of 638.9.
Additionally, Mane, a member of the silver-winning Indian men’s 10m air rifle team earlier in the competition, previously won a bronze in the individual men’s event.
