KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals secured their eighth consecutive win on Sunday, defeating the Detroit Tigers 11-7. Nick Loftin and John Rave both contributed with home runs, while Kyle Isbel drove in three runs to help propel the team to victory. This win highlights the Royals’ ongoing success as they continue their strong performance this season.
The Royals’ winning streak is their longest since May 2024. Isbel drove in the first runs of the game with a two-run single, and Loftin added a three-run shot over the left-center field wall, putting Kansas City up 5-1. Kansas City has won seven straight at home, only the fourth time in franchise history the team has completed an undefeated homestand of seven or more games.
Isbel and Loftin added RBI singles in the eighth to cap the scoring as the Royals completed the three-game sweep. Kevin McGonigle had an RBI double and a game-tying home run for the Tigers. Gleyber Torres and Max Clark had run-scoring groundouts, Hao-Yu Lee added an RBI single and Ben Malgeri walked with the bases loaded in the seventh.
