For Yamal, the journey began even earlier; he joined La Masia at the age of seven in 2014, making his entry much younger than Messi. Having developed through Barcelona’s youth system for nearly a decade, Yamal was promoted to the first team in 2023. Since then, he has secured three La Liga championships and taken on Messi’s iconic No. 10 jersey.
